spicy masala spaghetti

nabela's classic fusion dish that adds spice, flavor and heat to traditional spaghetti.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pounds ground beef

  • 1/2 tablespoons chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • drizzle of olive oil

  • 1 onion diced

  • 1 pound of spaghetti noodles

  • 1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce

HOW I MAKE IT:

PREP: Mince onion, and garlic. Boil water and season pasta water ahead of cooking your pasta.

COOK: Season your ground beef with chili powder, garlic powder, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and olive oil.

Heat up a pan and sauté your diced onion, minced garlic and add the seasoned beef.  Cook on medium-high heat until browned and cooked through.

In your seasoned and boiling pasta water, drop the pound of spaghetti noodles into the water and cook until al-dente.

Grab an additional pan to heat your pasta sauce. You can make your own homemade pasta sauce, or pick up your favorite sauce from the store to make things easy! Rao's Homemade Tomato Basil Sauce is a staple in my home.

Drain and spin your pasta with olive oil so the noodles don't stick together. Combine the pasta sauce and seasoned beef with your pasta and mix for delicious, easy, spicy masala spaghetti.

Serve with freshly grated parmesan for an extra touch!
